Experiencing New Year in Jaipur, The City of Hiatuses from Life

Arranged in Rajasthan, a place where there is the vibrant Indian Culture, Jaipur effectively beats the rundown for voyagers who are engaged with exploring the way of life and one of a kind move and society expressions that Rajasthan offers. The way of life, however the common magnificence of the land, particularly in the edges of the city draws a colossal number of sightseers consistently. Jaipur, for me, is where you are acquainted with the respectable food, the crude regular excellence of the open country and the excellent architecture which is sufficient to make Jaipur probably the best place for sightseers coming from all around the globe.

Facing and Understanding the transportation problems of Jaipur…

Although, there is a decent transportation system in the city which you can use to get around some popular spots, the challenge nears when you wish to visit some famous spots like Nahargarh fort, Amber fort and Rajasthan countryside in general. In spite of a good transportation system, the cost of travelling is higher than normal. Similarly, what choices do you have when you are standing at the corner of a Jaipur road bearing the scorching Rajasthan heat but yearning to visit these places?

That’s the kind of problem I faced during the course of my visit to this beautiful city. Getting around Jaipur is not only challenging but costly as well, and if you’re planning to visit to Jaipur any time sooner, what transportation choices do you have apart from hiring a tourist vehicle with a driver to kill your privacy?

Getting to know the solution…

The answer lies in my personal experience in this case. Struggling to find a perfect transport around the city, I was introduced to self-drive cars in Jaipur which strikingly turned out to be a better option to get around the city. So if you’re travelling to Jaipur and wondering how you can travel and enjoy without spending too much money around the city, well MyChoize self-drive service has you covered. I highly recommend it to every traveller who is tempted about the idea of exploring the city. Travelling in a group of five, this service came as a blessing for me and my group. Not only the prices that the company offers are reasonable, the whole payment machinery is transparent. Hiring their service is unbelievably easy, i.e., three small steps and you’re good to go. The most stunning thing about MyChoize is the costumer support which is rapid and responsive. For the ones who love to travel and explore the city, the rental offers unlimited kilometers so you can enjoy driving around the city without worrying about the distance limit.

Trying it…

We got the car delivered to our hotel and surprisingly the delivery was quick. The best part? They offered us free road side assistance along with their usual pickup and drop service. If you’re wondering about the condition and the type of cars, then you need not worry since the condition of the cars are excellent and you get a wide range of cars to choose from. Self-driving a sedan around the city of Jaipur has been once in a lifetime experience for me, a true explorer’s delight.

So if you’re planning to visit to Jaipur or to just about any major city in India, I recommend to use MyChoize service. It will not only save your money, but would also give you the privilege of travelling on your own terms. Try it and you would not regret it.

Why I Love Staycation More than Anything

I believe in staycations more because of my long-term plans, not because I am an extremely frugal person, which I am in reality to some extent. I like to spend a good time in my home country, right here in India. I have a hard core belief that India is a beautiful country and I don’t need to go abroad for at least a few years until I save some money.

Last year, one of my friends was in the UK. We used to talk daily about our respective lives in different countries, and not even once, did I feel the urge to go there for an extended vacation, despite her constant urging. I explained it to her that it is difficult for me to take a long break from the job because it would be an unpaid leave. On the other hand, I would have to spend almost all my savings of the years just to buy the tickets to her city in the UK. I knew that I would not have to worry about food, but I would definitely have to spend for the travel tickets to different cities and other activities. I do not regret compromising that vacation because I did not have money. On the other hand, I could focus on my long term goals as I knew that expensive vacations can come later. I could always travel around India at a much lesser cost.

Over time, I have traveled to a lot of cities in India, and I am bored to them to some extent. After traveling on a budget for years, I look for a bit of luxury in days out of the city now. Wherever I choose to go, I prefer to have a few days of exploring new things and have a couple of days just to relax and unwind. I like to think back about things that happen in life, and reflect on random occurrences. I just love that solitary time.

When I was in Kumaoni, I stayed at a local person’s home for a week at a ridiculously cheap price. They treated me with warmth and I wandered around aimlessly for two days after I was done with sightseeing. Even the host family was amazed at my choice of vacation because they had seen people going crazy over vacations, and I was there leaning in the chair as the sun set every day. Camping with reputed hosts is also a great idea and I had done with a company in Bir. They keep you indulged in activities within the proximity of their camps so that no one gets bored.

When I was in Jaipur, I booked a hostel and had a marvelous time with other travelers. I even booked Self drive cars in Jaipur and maneuvered around the city to look for exciting things other than forts. Being alone gives great opportunities to talk to the locals, and blend with them at their own pace without rushing to see places or do things. Staycations- I love them!

How I Learned Different Things Being a Traveler?

When I ventured out for my first solo trip, I never knew that I would turn out to become a spiritual soul. Although I could not attend the Vipasana or meditation classes in McLeodganj, I have it in my mind to do so sometime because I need at least two weeks of vacation for that. Nevertheless, after traveling to different cities and countries, I now know that I need to collect memories, not souvenirs. Oh yes, I don’t mind buying a few things of course. Let me share how I evolved to become a better human being just by spending some money on my road trips.

Being inquisitive

I used to be curious all the time when I was a school student, but I never knew that this curiousness will give me a restless life. Everything that I see or view online or offline intrigues me to the extent that I end up extending my bucket list every year. My curiosity has taken me to Ladakh, Spiti Valley, Kerala, North-East India, and Gujrat. It is just a short list of the places that I have managed to visit, and each one of them mesmerizes me every time I go there. Being curious is what I know has made humans what they are. Had we been ambitionless fellows, we would still be living in Stone Age. Thank God we have evolutions, inventions, and discoveries by our side.

Being humble

What else would you call the desire to learn? To learn everything that I can in this tiny life that I have got. To learn about the different cultures of the world? To learn and listen to the different languages that people speak. I had heard about a village where they do not have a language to communicate; they connect with each other just by using whistles and gestures. Amazing, isn’t it? I
Being curious is one thing, but it is impractical if you are not humble. I gained humility as I met unpretentious people around the country. Fortunately, I am born and brought up in India, where humility is a part of Indian upbringing. Even when we can afford expensive things, my parents have taught me to be open-minded to gain grounded experiences in life. When we went Udaipur, we could hire Self drive cars in Jaipur, but my father was adamant to travel by train because he wanted to experience the rawness of it. Crazy fellow he is, but we certainly enjoyed a lot.

Being empathetic

I also learnt that being empathetic does not only mean to be able to understand the pain of others; it also means to leave people alone when they need it. Thanks to the modern self-help books, blogs, and what not that we have started realizing the value of solitary time. I give space and demand the same in every relationship, and all of them are peaceful bonds that I share with my closed ones.

I have seen marriages going sour just because people do not understand each other; all they lack is empathy. The Indian countrymen have taught me to smile and let go things when the wind in not flowing in your direction. Ignorance is bliss, and being with terrible room partners have gave me a good grounding in this direction. I have fathomed that there is no use arguing over spilled milk if your roommate is not ready to admit their mistake. It is better to let go and explain using some other tactic. And it is travel only that has taught me to recognize people’s need to be as they are, rather than asking them to change.

Going for a Paan Break in Jaipur

A few cities in India are famous for certain things that are truly unparalleled. Just like Nagpur is famous for oranges, Jaipur has earned the fame for Paans. For those who are new to India and its traditions, Paan is a mouth-freshener prepared with a combination of betel leaf, areca nut, tobacco (occasionally), fennel seeds, gulkand, katha, mukhwa, and many other refreshing ingredients. The psychoactive and stimulant effects of this fantastic creation are well-known from centuries in India and abroad. The Mughals have it mentioned in their scriptures as well. It is a simple, yet complex creation, which requires years of practice and expertise. Only a few Paan sellers in the country have been able to become famous for their variety of paans

Jaipur is one such city in Rajasthan where eating a Paan after a meal is a must-do. When I went there last month in October, I had made an elaborate itinerary to visit various forts and palaces. However, all of my plans failed because I had not managed my itinerary well. Nevertheless, few good things also happened on our vacation. I am blessed to have a supportive family who does not crib over petty issues. Even though our plans did not work out well in Jaipur, we still had a great time with each other.

It was our first day in Jaipur when we saw a massive crowd in front of a bicycle. Our first thought was that there must have been an accident, which is why such dozens of people were present. However, the presence of BMWs and Audi’s made it a little fishy scene. I got down from my car to find out what was wrong as the traffic was already moving at a snail’s pace. To my utter surprise, it was nothing else, but the rush to grab the Paan from the seller. I had never seen such a swarm of people maddening around to grab a piece of mouth-freshener.

I have bought Paan from a few sellers in Delhi who are really famous for their creations. They sell a wide range of paans in flavors like chocolate, strawberry, Maghai Paan, Saada Paan, Paan, Banarasi Paan, Meetha Paan, Silver Paan, Rasamalai Paan, Gold Paan, Chocolate Paan, Bangla Paan, Tambaku Paan, Misti Paan, Jagannath Paan, and Kalkatti Paan. I must say that I have googled these names from just one source, and these are only a few variants of Paan sold in Delhi. Despite such a vast assortment of their creations, none of the sellers are able to attract more than ten buyers at one time.
Anyway, I got down to know what was so special about this seller. After waiting for a good fifteen minutes, I could manage to have my turn to buy his special creation of Paan. To my utter surprise, the person was not even preparing the Paan. He had already got his stock ready from home, and he was selling only Meetha Paan, which was quite cold I must say. He would take out the required number of paans from his storage box, probably a mini-refrigerator, and give them to his customers. I grabbed the four paans for my family, paid the price, and rushed back to my Self-Drive Car Rental Jaipur

As I gave my parents and sister the famed paans of Jaipur, and opened my share of this majestic creation, I looked at my sister who was about to ask something from me with her mouth filled with paan. As I was gulping down the cold and fresh paan, she asked me the name of the seller, and my reaction was, "Oops! I didn't ask for it!" What a shame! No, I did not go there again in the long queue to ask it.

How I Eat Alone on My Solo Trips

The worst part, at least according to inexperienced travelers, about solo travel is eating alone at restaurants. Many people feel awkward sitting unaccompanied at eateries and eat on their own. They don’t want to be noticed every time they are having a meal, maybe because they feel that people would find socially unacceptable or give them weird looks. Anyway, if you are planning a solo trip anytime soon, you can refer to these tips mentioned below. I have used them on all of my vacations, and trust me, they really help.

Accept the truth about you

You might find it a harsh fact, but you do need to realize that the world does not revolve around you. Unless you are a well-known celebrity, no one even cares whether you eat alone, wear shabby clothes, or even die! Yes, it is too rude to say that, but I have observed this fact about myself as well as others. While gorging a delectable dish at a café, try to ignore every weird, yet momentary look that you receive from someone. Even if you are sitting with someone, you will receive a cursory look from other people. When you do not bother their staring glances when you are with friends, why do you need to care for it when you are alone?

Enjoy the food

Like you, everyone else at the restaurant is either hungry or is there to experiment with a new meal. People are always busy in their own conversations with their friends or family. They do not even want to notice you to stare at you. If you choose to ignore them, they are also not interested in staring at you, unless you wear funny clothes. As every solo travel guide says, dress up according to the local traditions to grab less attention, and you will be fine. Just focus on enjoying your meal. Indulge in people watching if you like it.

Eat on a sidewalk

Sitting alone in a closed room may feel more awkward than doing so on a walkway. If the restaurant has the arrangement for outdoor sitting, you can sit outside and enjoy eating with people watching. You cannot feel bored at all when you have so much to think about while watching people walking by. However, make sure that you do not stare at other people; they will feel awkward just like you if someone stares at you. Watching people walking by is like watching a live movie running in front of you. When you are in a new country, it also helps to learn more about the local cultures and traditions. Learn doing it and you will never feel alone.

Stay occupied

The best thing to do when you want to ignore others around you is to keep yourself busy. You can read a book, or even a guidebook when you are spending time at a restaurant. You can re-acquaint yourself with the sites you want to see, activities you wish to do, the next steps you need to take during your journey. The idea is to utilize your time at its best. While eating, you can plan the things you need to do, or just indulge in reading a fiction book.

When you are in a relatively conservative place in India such as Jaipur, you might get more stares than Delhi. However, you can avoid it at almost every place by taking Car Rentals In Jaipur to travel around. You do not need to think about your conduct when you have car rentals Jaipur since you can be yourself and even eat in the car if you feel too awkward in a restaurant.
