How Living in a Tourist Town Feels Like

I have to be a brat if I say that life in a tourist town feels awful. It does seem tiring sometimes to entertain the visitors all the time, but in the end, you end up being kind enough to be patient with everyone around you. Many people think of living at a place where people go for a holiday. Ask me, how it feels like to be surrounded by clueless people all the time who want to feel amazed at every little thing they see. It really feels awful at times. Still, I would say it is not that bad. However, read further to judge whether you want to change your mind about living there or not.

The Vacationers

Seeing new faces every day in my town, Coorg does not really feel good to me, especially when some people annoy you in your face with sheer intentions. I don’t hesitate to call myself old at the age of 25 because I have seen people from other cities coming to mine and spreading filth. Of course, not all of them are like that, but yes most of them are. The tourists do keep our economy alive, although they should understand that it is their responsibility to keep the town clean.

The fantasies of people

Whenever I meet anyone from Bangalore or any other city, they have a look of wonder on their faces- all the time! And they ask very clichéd questions like, "Do you enjoy the sunset every day?" or "Do you enjoy breathing in the aroma of coffee all the time?" Trust me guys; even unique things become mundane sometimes. I do feel good to live in the lap of nature, but please, excuse me for not being very polite while answering all your questions.

The fun side of a career

I should not forget to admit that I do enjoy my job in the hospitality industry in Coorg. I help people arrange things like Self-Drive Car Rental Bangalore if they cannot do it on their own. It does not take much exertion to do so. Still, people feel grateful to me for it. Moreover, I get paid for it! What else should I want from life? I am on a full-time vacation while earning money to pay my bills. I can be a kid throughout my life and still be fine with it. I know that now you feel jealous of me! (Wink!)

Drunk drivers

We are always taught not to drink and drive, but what should I do when I see a drunk driver trying to maneuver the car on the risky roads of the hills? It is too risky for their lives as well as that of the others, yet, we have to cope with them. They take the Car Rental in Bangalore without Driver, but their thoughtless driving makes me think is it really worth it driving like that? Is it worth that enjoyment that may eventually cost them their lives some day? I am sure it is not. If they have to rent Cars in Bangalore, they should take care of it too, right?

Give directions

I own a grocery store in the central market, and I am tired of giving directions to everyone on the street. Almost every person comes asking for the same place, and I cannot refuse them. I have to tell them the directions, and that too with a smile on my face. The worst day is when the ATM at my store does not work. I cannot deal with the mess on that day. People come over, try taking out money, and fail to do so. In spite of the obvious picture in front of them, they come over to the counter and ask if there is no cash in the machine! Now, what am I supposed to do? Smile, of course!

Taking a Break from My Job as a Teller in a Bank

Rustle and crunch of money sound like music to many of us, but the responsibility of handling so much of cash in a bank is a different story altogether. I have been working as a Teller in a private bank in Pune for almost two years now. It is quite exhausting to handle such a pressurizing job, especially in India where people are quite touchy about their money. I have to deal with a lot of people in just one day, and most of them are not aware of things happening in the bank. So I have to tell them about various formalities before they proceed to get their job done.

When I began my job of being a Teller, I had thought that I just need to be good at mathematics and it will be an easy ride for me. However, it turned out to be a very stressful, yet pleasant job. The work environment inside the office is quite taxing, but the best part is that I don’t have to go out in the scorching heat or the freezing cold weather. I can comfortably be seated in my ergonomic desk and listen to the queries of the customers.

My job description had clearly stated before I joined that I must possess the attention to detail. Now when it comes practically counting the money, I realize that I have to be super-attentive and know every second whether I just counted a hundred-rupee or a ten-rupee note. I have seen a few Tellers who have to count the bundles of notes several times when the machine is not working, and I cannot ignore that they do not last long in their jobs. With that level of the nerve-wracking environment in the bank, I have to make sure every second that I deliver the best of my potential.

Nevertheless, I get stressed out at times, and I cannot focus on my work. At such circumstances, I realize that I am on the verge of burning out and I need a break really soon. Sometimes, I think about working part-time as well to reduce the workload, but that will not pay my bills. Anyway, when I feel too much burned out, I just call up a few friends and try to convince at least two of them to go for a road trip on Pune car rentals as soon as possible. My friends mock at me when I tell them that I am on the verge of getting exhausted. They have an impression that I have an easy going job where I just have to count currency notes all the time. Nonetheless, they do not know that I have to provide superb customer service as well while handling money. I have to be extremely outgoing and highly organized, which can burn out even the most energetic staff in the bank.

I understand that there is no use explaining all this to my friends, so I just ask them to book car rentals and accompany me for a road trip. Since most of us do not own a car, we prefer taking car rentals Pune so that we do not have conflicts later. Paying for a Service rules out the possibility of accountability and responsibility, and we can focus only on enjoying the vacation. We have taken several vacations just like that when my friends or I feel like escaping the hustle bustle of the city life. We are lucky to be in Pune as we have several options to go for a weekend getaway. Having said that, I do want to mention that even a demanding job can provide professional satisfaction when there is a proper work-life balance.

How a Simple Idea Enriched Our Road Trip to Belur

The Independence Day weekend in 2017 was an exceptionally long weekend, and I was looking for options to take a road trip with my friends. I didn't want to waste this precious time sitting at home doing nothing. Though we did not take much time to decide upon the destination, we did argue about the mode of travel. I wanted to go by car, and some of my friends were fine with going on a train or a bus. Nevertheless, no one wanted to take out the car because of various complications of sharing and contributing to expenses. We finally settled down on taking a Car Rental in Bangalore without Driver, which turned out to be an excellent idea altogether.

To take a road trip to Belur, we took a Tata Safari on rent, and I must say it was thrilling driving it. Belur is located only 220 kilometers from Bangalore, which takes almost four hours to cover. The Chennakesava Temple is the main attraction of the district along with several other historical attractions. Although my friends and I are not very fond of visiting temples, it is an excellent way to spend time. Talking about the history of various places, we can have a healthy discussion about things and venues.

An interesting fact that we got to know about Chennakesava Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is that the temple was constructed in a vast span of 103 years. Several scenes from Upanishads, Mahabharata, and Ramayana are depicted on the walls of the temple. Everything on the walls and the campus of the temple was so charming that we could not help but appreciate the marvel of the architects of that time. The step well, Pushkarni, for example, is also a place where we sat for a long time and chatted with each other. The use of ivory and sandalwood in the entire temple left us spellbound.

India is replete with architectural wonders, but we hardly care to visit them, forget to appreciate them. After visiting just the Chennakesava Temple, I realized that I needed to visit many more such places and know more about them. And if I have the company of friends to those locations, nothing like it to make the trips even more enjoyable.

No doubt that it is quite expensive to Rent Cars in Bangalore, but what use is the money if we cannot put it to the best use. We all are earning a decent income from our respective jobs and businesses, so we can afford to pay slightly higher for a service rather than have arguments about whose car we will use for our road trips. Relationships are always more important than money, and just taking a Self-Drive Car Rental Bangalore taught us that we could enjoy even more when no single person is responsible for the car. The vehicle was our mutual responsibility, and we all shared the expenses as well as the driving duties perfectly well, though it never seemed like an obligation at all.
